Hi, my name is Lauren. I am a freshman at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. I’m a full-time student majoring in information technology with a specialization in graphic design and multimedia and minoring in art. I’ve lived in the Nashville area my entire life, attending a private Christian school from kindergarten through my senior year of high school.
I was in middle school when I first met Brittany Smith. She became one of the youth leaders in my youth group and eventually an extremely close friend. One day she asked me if I could help her with an event that was going on at our church ––that event was the beginning of my career with Inspired Help. It was during one of those first few events that I discovered my love for art and handwriting. Brittany decided I was the designated chalkboard artist after asking me to do a chalkboard for a Christmas party. The funny thing is, if Brittany had not asked me to do that very first chalkboard, I might not have ever looked into graphic design and art as a major.
There are so many things that I love about Inspired Help. Our team has such a desire to serve and does so with so much joy. We have so much fun during events as we work together to solve unexpected problems and make dream-events into reality. We’ve unofficially decided that our motto is “make it work” due to our team’s ability to quickly find solutions whenunexpected problems inevitablyarise during events. Of course nothing would get done nearly as efficiently if we didn’t have such an amazing leader. I couldn’t imagine what events would be like without Brittany there to makes sure that we know where we are supposed to be and what needs to get done. While being efficient and working hard, Brittany makes sure that we are taken care of and that we are having fun while working. I feel incredibly blessed to have a job that allows me to grow in creativitywhile working alongside –– and for –– my closest friends as we serve our clients!
